Black Beauty by Anna Sewell (1820 1878) is a story about a horse named Black Beauty who endures cruelty and kindness. The story is narrated through the horses point of view and the aim of the author was to portray the themes of inducing kindness, sympathy, and an understanding treatment of horses. Anna Sewell was an English novelist and wrote the book during the last few years of her life. It became an instant success after it was first published in 1877 but Anna died five months after it was published. It is considered as one of the best-selling books of all time.This book was published in 1902 in a physical book format and is now republished in ebook format by Mermaids Classics.
