Up in the northern city of Sendai, whence come the best of Japanese soldiers, there lived a samurai named Hasunuma. Hasunuma was rich and hospitable, and consequently much thought of and well liked. Some thirty-five years ago his wife presented him with a beautiful daughter, their first child, whom they called 'Ko,' which means 'Small' when applied to a child, much as we say 'Little Mary or Little Jane.' Her full name was really 'Hasu-ko,' which means 'Little Lily'; but here we will call her 'Ko' for short. Exactly on the same date, 'Saito,' one of Hasunuma's friends and also a samurai, had the good fortune to have a son. The fathers decided that, being such old friends, they would wed their children to each other when old enough to marry; they were very happy over the idea, and so were their wives. To make the engagement of the babies more binding, Saito handed to Hasunuma a golden hairpin which had long been in his family, and said: 'Here, my old friend, take this pin. It shall be a token of betrothal from my son, whose name shall be K?noj?, to your little daughter Ko, both of whom are now aged two weeks only. May they live long and happy lives together.' Hasunuma took the pin, and handed it to his wife to keep; then they drank saké to the health of each other, and to the bride and bridegroom of some twenty years thence.

Prophet Muhammad SAW from Mecca, unified Arabia into a single religious polity under Islam faith. Believed by Muslims to be a prophet and messenger of God, Muhammad is almost universally considered by Muslims as the last prophet sent by God to mankind. While non-Muslims generally regard Muhammad as the founder of Islam, Muslims consider him to have restored the unaltered original monotheistic faith of Prophet Adam, Prophet Abraham, Prophet Moses, Prophet Jesus, and other prophets. Born approximately in 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca, Prophet Muhammad SAW was orphaned at an early age; he was raised under the care of his paternal uncle Abu Talib. After his childhood Muhammad primarily worked as a merchant. Occasionally he would retreat to a cave in the mountains for several nights of seclusion and prayer; later, at age 40, he reported at this spot, that he was visited by Gabriel and received his first revelation from God. Three years after this event prophet Muhammad SAW started preaching these revelations publicly, proclaiming that "God is One". Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, is the man beloved by more than 1.2 billion Muslims.? He is the man who taught us patience in the face of adversity, and taught us to live in this world but seek eternal life in the hereafter.? It was to Prophet Muhammad that God revealed the Quran.? Along with this Book of guidance God sent Prophet Muhammad, whose behavior and high moral standards are an example to us all.? Prophet Muhammad’s life was the Quran.? He understood it, he loved it and he lived his life based on its standards. ?He taught us to recite the Quran, to live by its principles and to love it.? When Muslims declare their faith in One God, they also declare their belief that Muhammad is the slave and final messenger of God.? When a Muslim hears Muhammad’s name mentioned they ask God to send blessings upon him.? Prophet Muhammad was a man, a human being just like any other man, but it is his love for humanity that sets him apart.? Muslims love Prophet Muhammad, but it is his love for us, that makes him a man like no other.? He longed for Paradise not only for himself but also for all of us.? He wept tears not for himself but for his Ummah, and for humanity.? He was often heard to cry "O God, my Ummah, my Ummah". Muslims do not worship Prophet Muhammad; they understand that he is only a man.? However, he is a man worthy of our utmost respect and love.? Prophet Muhammad loved humanity so much that he would weep out of fear for them.? He loved his Ummah with such deep and profound devotion that God remarked on the depth of his love for us in Quran. Prophet Muhammad taught us to love God and to obey Him.? He taught us to be kind to each other, to respect our elders, and care for our children.? He taught us that it was better to give than to receive and that each human life is worthy of respect and dignity.? He taught us to love for our brothers and sisters what we love for ourselves.? Prophet Muhammad taught us that families and communities are essential, and he pointed out that individual rights although important are not more important than a stable, moral society.? Prophet Muhammad taught us that men and women are equal in the sight of God and that no one person is better then another except in respect to his or her piety and devotion to God. Who is Prophet Muhammad SAW ?? Quite simply he is the man who will stand before God on the day of Requital and beg God to have mercy on us.? He will intercede for us. Muslims love him because he is the slave and messenger of God, he is a mercy to humankind and his gentleness, and devotion to humanity is unprecedented....

The Great Story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) In Islam
The Great Story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) In Islam
Muham Sakura Dragon
¥16.27
Prophet Ibrahim known as Abraham in the Hebrew bible, is recognized in Islam as a prophet and apostle of Allah SWT (God) and patriarch of many peoples. In Muslim belief, Abraham fulfilled all the commandments and trials which God tried him with over his lifetime. As a result of his unwavering faith in God, Abraham was promised by God to be a leader to all the nations of the world. The Quran extols Prophet Abraham as a model, an exemplar, obedient and not an idolator. In this sense, Abraham has been described as representing "primordial man in universal surrender to the Divine Reality before its fragmentation into religions separated from each other by differences in form". The Islamic holy day Eid al-Adha is celebrated in memory of the bravery of Abraham, and Muslims perform the pilgrimage to pay homage at the Kaaba which Abraham had set up and reformed. Muslims believe that the prophet Abraham became the leader of the righteous in his time and it was through him that the people of both Arabia and Israel came. Abraham, in the belief of Islam, was instrumental in cleansing the world of idolatry at the time. Paganism was cleared out by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) in both Arabia and Canaan. He spiritually purified both places as well as physically sanctifying the houses of worship. Abraham and Ismail (Ishmael) further established the rites of pilgrimage, or Hajj, which are still followed by Muslims today. Muslims maintain that Abraham further asked God to bless both the lines of his progeny, of Prophet Ismail (Ishmael) and Prophet Ishaq (Isaac), and to keep all of his descendants in the protection of God. They also believe that Prophet Muhammad SAW is a descendant of Prophet Abraham through Prophet Ishmael (Ismail).
