Clarissa, or, the History of a Young Lady is an epistolary novel by Samuel Richardson, published in 1748. It tells the tragic story of a heroine whose quest for virtue is continually thwarted by her family, and is regarded as the longest novel in the English language (based on estimated word count). It is generally regarded as Richardson's masterpiece. ? Clarissa Harlowe, the tragic heroine of Clarissa, is a beautiful and virtuous young lady whose family has become wealthy only recently and now desires to become part of the aristocracy. Their original plan was to concentrate the wealth and lands of the Harlowes into the possession of Clarissa's brother James Harlowe, whose wealth and political power will lead to his being granted a title. Clarissa's grandfather leaves her a substantial piece of property upon his death, and a new route to the nobility opens through Clarissa marrying Robert Lovelace, heir to an earldom. James's response is to provoke a duel with Lovelace, who is seen thereafter as the family's enemy. James also proposes that Clarissa marry Roger Solmes, who is willing to trade properties with James to concentrate James's holdings and speed his becoming Lord Harlowe. The family agrees and attempts to force Clarissa to marry Solmes, whom she finds physically disgusting as well as boorish.

The Great Story of Prophet Zakariya & Prophet Yahya In Islam
¥16.27
Prophet Zakariya (Zachariah) was an illustrious Prophet of the Israelites. He was one of the descendants of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him). The name of his wife was al-Yashbi' who belonged to the family of Prophet Harun (peace be upon him). The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) was the patron of Mary, the mother of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him). He was the trustee of Hekal. He worked as a carpenter and earned his livelihood. The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) kept the torch of Mosaic law burning. He used to pray devotionally and preach zealously. His wife and he were the symbols of piety and righteousness. Most of his kinsmen lacked in spirit of true faith. ?As they were seduced, they were inclined to doing evil deeds. They were going out of the right path. ?The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) was much anxious about this state of affairs. ?He had no offspring and there was no suitable person to hold the office of priesthood of Hekal after his death. ?He was ?desirous of having a son to become his good successor. ?He did not long for a son to satisfy a mere ?human desire for one's progeny. ?He wanted to have a son to maintain the warmth of religious activities. ?One night he stood in prayer in his sanctuary and prayed to Allah to bless him with a good son. ?He was conscious that he was in an advanced age and his wife was barren and unable to raise any issue. ?He had full faith in Allah Who possesses power to do whatever He wills. ?He came to know through his prophetic insight that Allah would grant his request. ?He would be blessed with a good son to act as his heir who could guide the people aright. God in His infinite mercy removed the defect of his wife's barrenness so that she might become mother. ?She gave birth to Prophet Yahya. ?(peace be upon him) who was destined to be honourable, chaste, and a prophet from among the righteous. ?The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) felt satisfied as his son grew up and became a symbol of piety. ?He was graced with wisdom, obedience and asceticism. The Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) continued preaching the religion of Allah even in old age.? Prophet John or Yahya is also honored as a prophet in Islam as Ya?yā ibn Zakarīyā (Arabic: ???? ?? ??????), or "John, son of Zechariah". He is believed by Muslims to have been a witness to the word of God, and a prophet who would herald the coming of Jesus. His father Zechariah was also an Islamic prophet. Islamic tradition maintains that John was one of the prophets whom Muhammad met on the night of the Mi'raj, his ascension through the Seven Heavens. It is said that he met John and Jesus in the second heaven, where Muhammad greeted his two 'brothers' before ascending with archangel Gabriel to the third heaven. John's story was also told to the Abyssinian king during the Muslim refugees' Migration to Abyssinia. According to the Qur'an, John was one on whom God sent peace on the day that he was born and the day that he died. John is also honored highly in Sufism as well as Islamic mysticism, primarily because of the Qur'an's description of John's chastity and kindness. Sufis have frequently applied commentaries on the passages on John in the Qur'an, primarily concerning the God-given gift of "Wisdom" which he acquired in youth as well as his parallels with Jesus. Although several phrases used to describe John and Jesus are virtually identical in the Qur'an, the manner in which they are expressed is different. The Prophet Yahya (peace be upon him) was the precursor of Prophet Isa (Jesus Christ). ?He was his cousin and contemporary as well. ?His fidelity to his mission as a preacher soon deprived him of his liberty and subsequently his life.

The kiss lasted for a second, and she was struggling with all she had to not melt into it. She pushed him gently away, reminding him that he had Ashley. "She's just there for the sex. I can't make you be with an empty wreck like me. I respect you too much to allow that to happen. You being with me is the worst thing you could do, and so just one kiss and you being here like this with me is more than I can ask for. I respect you too much to do anything else," he uttered. "That's the worst thing you could have said," she stood up, moving toward the fence rapidly. "And so disrespectful! You don't respect me! You're toying with me!" she said, sobbing, clumsily climbing over the fence, and falling gracelessly onto the other side. She straightened up quickly and, without looking back, she ran toward Ashley's house...
Saving Sarah

Sarah wandered from bed to bed, checking on the few patients at the Hedley Clinic. It was such a welcome contrast from when she'd arrived and established the makeshift hospital off the Rio Negro. The treatment area had overflowed with patients from the first day, all in desperate need of care. Malaria, Yellow Fever, Cholera, Typhoid fever, and uncontrolled diabetes had run rampant throughout the area. But thanks to antimalarial drugs, vaccinations, antibiotics, and rehydration solutions, the number of patients had dwindled dramatically. Most days brought patients with ear infections, high blood pressure, asthma attacks, and even the occasional prenatal checkup. Still, there was a relatively regular flow of emergency patients suffering injuries from farming accidents and even alligator bites. The enormous black caimans were especially troublesome, particularly during the wet seasons when they ventured into the flooded savannas of the Amazon basin. Though there was so much more she wished she could do, never a day went by when she didn't feel she made an...

The Definition of Essential Oils Essential oils contain the true essence of the plant they are derived from. The liquid essential oil is usually distilled by a steam or water process, from the flowers, leaves, stems, bark, roots, or other elements of a plant. You might be surprised to discover essential oils don't actually feel oily. Most essential oils are clear, except for a few oils like lemongrass, patchouli, or orange, which are yellow or amber in color. Don't confuse therapeutic essential oils and fragrance oils, which aren't the same. Fragrance oils are perfume oils, containing synthetic chemicals, and they have absolutely no therapeutic value. In the United States, there are no aromatherapy regulations, or regulations on how the term aromatherapy is used. When buying commercial products, remember they could contain ingredients that use fragrance oil or synthetic chemicals. Carefully read all the ingredients. Even when a manufacturer claims a product contains natural ingredients, or that they are made from essential oils, you must be careful. Even when the product says it is made only from natural ingredients it can still contain fragrance oils or other synthetic products. Only a couple of drops of essential oil are needed to be able to claim a product is made with essential oils. The best way to be sure that you have a high quality therapeutic product is to make your own products, and we will provide you with some great recipes to get you started and help you to develop your skills. Before long, you will be a master at creating these recipes.

A to Z Backyard Chickens for Total Beginners
¥32.62
What came first, the chicken or the egg? It is obviously the chicken, right? I mean, where would an egg come from if it were not laid by a chicken? So the chicken had to have come first. Now I hear your anger, there is no need to shout. You are asking me where the chicken came from and I will answer your question in the very next sentence. The chicken came from an egg. I hear you breathe a sigh of relief as if you have won the argument. I can see the slight smile on your face as you believe yourself to have won the argument but this is not so, for you see, the egg which you are so happy about had to have come from a chicken. So, obviously, the chicken came first. Now that we have established that, we can get on to the content of this book. You are here to learn everything you need to know about raising backyard chickens. The question which will no doubt be on your mind is, why would I want to raise backyard chickens? The answer to this question is, why not? The most obvious benefit of raising chickens in your own backyard is the eggs. Most laying hens will lay an egg every day or two. If you were to have three chickens in your backyard then you could expect to have up to three eggs every day. These humble little eggs will be the best eggs which you have ever tasted. They will be more flavorful than the eggs you would buy in the store and more colorful than the rising sun. If you are raising backyard chickens then there is a good chance that you are composting in your backyard too. If you are not then these little-feathered beasts will take care of your table scraps and turn it into some of the best compost known to man (and woman). The chickens will also take care of the bugs and other small animals which may roam into your yard. When they have processed these scraps or bugs, they will poop all over your lawn (or wherever else you have put them. This compost poop will help your plants and flowers grow like nothing else. We all love the smell of freshly cut grass but the time saved by not having to mow your lawn will more than make up for that. Let them roam free on your lawn and they will trim it for you. As an added bonus, you do not even need to pay them.
