扬雄《方言》是我国部收集古今方国殊言别语的语言学著作，它的出现标志着中国古代方言学的诞生。明清以前，《方言》传本——郭注本经过一千五百多年的传抄翻刻，“讹舛相承，几不可通”。明清时期出现多个《方言》校注本，另有王念孙散见于各类著作中的《方言》遗说，以及晚清以降一些学者著作中所涉《方言》的条校条释内容，我们将这些材料加以收集整理，作为《古代方言文献丛刊》第二辑推出。 卢文弨《重校方言》是继戴震《方言疏证》之后清人的第二个校本。“论学识卢不如戴，论详审戴不如卢”，卢氏在搜集版本资料的完备性和运用理校考证勘误方面成就较高。《重校方言》和《补遗》有乾隆四十九年抱经堂丛书本、同治十二年古经解汇函本以及该本的光绪十四年蜚英馆石印本、光绪十五年湘南书局刻本等，此书从未整理。此次以抱经堂丛书本为底本，参校其他版本和抱经堂本的各种名家题跋本予以勘正，同时核校卢氏引文，全部标断句。 刘台拱《方言补校》直针对卢文弨校本，或补缺拾疑，或订正卢校，或证成卢说，今人认为戴、卢两家之后“刘校精”。本次整理以道光十四年《刘端临先生遗书》本为底本，以光绪十五年广雅书局本参校。 书后附笔画索引，以便读者使用。

《宋史（二十四史繁体竖排 套装1-40册）》撰修于元朝末年，全书有本纪47卷，志162卷，表32卷，列传255卷，共计496卷，约500万字，是二十五史中篇幅*庞大的一部官修史书。早在元初，元世祖忽必烈就曾诏修宋史，因体例未定而未能成书。元朝末年，丞相脱脱主张分别撰修宋、辽、金三史，各自独立，这一意见得到元顺帝的同意，于至正三年（公元1343年）三月局，三史同时修撰。经过二年半时间，至正五年（公元1345年）十月，《宋史》匆匆成书。《宋史（二十四史繁体竖排 套装1-40册）》是在原宋《国史》的基础上删削而成的。两宋时期，史官组织完备，雕版印刷术广泛应用，书籍流传和保存都较为便利，积累了大量史料。这就为元修《宋史》提供了良好的基础。但是由于《宋史》修撰者匆匆急就，在史料的裁剪、史实的考订、文字的修饰、全书体例等方面存在不少缺，如一人两传，无传而说有传，一事数见，有目无文，纪与传，传与传，表与传，传文与传论之间互相抵牾等，这使它在二十五史中有繁芜杂乱之称。
